The WeAreTechWomen Mentoring Exchange considers many areas and preferences to create an intelligent match, such as the sum of your experience and your current role. From here the system will use smart algorithms to create an ideal peer mentoring partnership.
Login and complete your profile and registration process within three days. One week after the profile completion deadline, you will receive your mentor match.
Please Note: If you have not completed your profile and requested verification, you will not be matched and will need to request to be entered into the next cohort
Select one or more peer mentors. Connect and message your match, and organise an initial chemistry meeting (virtual or face-to-face).
Select user from your Top 3 matches. Click Connect Button and they will be notified of your connection request. (This can take a few days for acceptance based upon availability of the other peer user).
Setup a private scratchpad and invite your connected peer mentor to join once they have accepted the connection request.
Setup a wider group to have multiple mentors to join.
Use the Meeting Scheduler (on your scratchpad) to mark that you have had a chemistry meeting and to confirm you are proceeding with the mentoring relationship.
Use the video or audio chat function to book in a brief session for you both.
First meeting: Agenda setting
Determine how many sessions you will meet over the coming months. Remember this is for mutual benefits from the relationship so they need to be able to leverage your skill set and experience also.
Please Note: We recommend 4 - 6 sessions, each 60 - 90-minutes long
Using the collaboration tools on the platform you can share challenges, files and ideas.
You can continue with scheduled video discussions and you can meet face to face where possible.
Record your career challenges and track how between your mentor and yourself you overcome these.
Please Note: Remember to set personal goals and ensure that you are tracking against these.
